CHILDREN'S EQUIPMENT DONATION 100% OF ALL DONATIONS GO TO THE STUDENT
Dear Parents and Students: If you desire, you can earn your karate training equipment by participating in the Champion Youth Children's Equipment Donation. All you need to do is receive donations for the enclosed raffle tickets. Champion Youth is giving away one cable-ready color TV, a DVD player and other prizes! The student with the most donations at the end of the session wins a mountain bike! If after reading this information you decide not to participate, please return this envelope at next week's class. You can begin receiving donations now! You can approach relatives, friends & neighbors. When asking for donations, you can say "Hello, I'm trying to earn my Karate equipment, would you like to make a donation? Your name will be placed in a drawing for door prizes at our next Karate Tournament." Show potential contributors the enclosed information. 50% of equipment donations are considered charitable contributions. Winners of door prizes do not need to be present and will be contacted after the drawing. Winners list will be available upon request. Because this is a donation, there is no set price for a ticket. Usually people donate $1.00 or 50¢ per ticket, so if they donate $1.00, give them 1 or 2 tickets, $5.00 for 5 or 10 tickets, etc. Cash or checks are fine. Please make checks payable to "Champion Youth". When someone makes a contribution, have them print their name and telephone number on the ticket. Make sure they keep the blank ticket, which states "KEEP THIS COUPON". When you have received enough donations to purchase your training equipment, seal the donations and tickets inside this envelope. On the outside, print the student's name, the amount enclosed, and the items earned. Be sure you specify the correct size of equipment!! If you don't know, please see the instructor. We have had students in the past earn everything!. All items should be available one week after ordering. NOTE: Raffle donations are to be used for equipment purchases only. All donations must be turned in this session. Raffle credit may not be carried over to the next session. Our drawing for prizes will take place at the next Champion Youth Karate Tournament. You have until approximatly 10 days before the tournament to turn in tickets and donations. The tournament date will be announced in the next weeks of class.
